The Perfect Evil Archdruid

Blog Azeroth has a shared topic this week about designing your "ideal" boss.  I think we see a lot of melee bosses in the game, though many of them have interesting abilities that offset the dullness of tanking and spanking.  But what I'd like to see?  Man, I want to see the moonkin boss.

He or she would have pretty good armor, thanks to moonkin form, and the special abilities could be really exciting.  I've heard Fandral Staghelm used to be able to cast AOE entangling roots in the good old days, and that would be a good start.  Everyone rushes up to attack moonkin boss, moonkin boss casts entangling roots at all melee and steps about two feet away, laughing.  The new solar beam power would help keep casters from being too OP in this fight.  Starfall a necessity of course--this fight would be a serious heal check thanks to all the AOEs going around. Treants with no aggro table?  Yes, please.

And just when you think you've got evil moonkin under control?  He/she shifts form, casts three stacks of incredibly powered Lifebloom and goes back to whupping on you.  Priests and mages would be screamed at to spellsteal and dispel before the full heal goes off.

But, caveat?  I never, ever want this boss to actually be Fandral Staghelm.  I've found the development of his character incredibly lame and predictable in a teeth-grinding kind of way.  I always had a soft spot for the cranky archdruid who only gave me hunter leather for quest rewards as he insulted my intelligence/purpose in life.  This man had character.  But, unfortunately, he's not Varian Wrynn, so he doesn't get to be cranky and non-evil (and, let's face it, Varian barely pulls that off).   Ten points from Blizzard for lack of subtlety.
